Clicking on the Open Print Queue the resulting window says "the printer is not connected". I can go into the system preferences and click on Printers and Scanners and the printer shows up but is listed as Offline. Most times it will indicate that the process was successful. It sees the network and will allow me to use the network password to sign in. I have gone through the Wireless Setup Wizard numerous times. Since then the printer will not stay connected. Their rep came out and collected all our old gear and reconnected us with a single unit by Hitron - an Easy Connect.

We recently opted for an upgrade to our wifi network with Wave Cable from 100 to 250 mbps. I have a related problem with an 8600 Pro on a Mac OS 10.13.4 wifi network. So - a big thank you to Sabretooth04 and hopefully this info might help out somebody else some time. There was a minor irritant in that I have had to reconnect all the other devices in the house to the 5GHz network but that takes about 20 seconds per device so its not really a big deal.

It also still talks to the printer - the 2 devices do not need to be on the same channel.

The final step was to speak to my Broadband provider (Sky). I did the things you said, which got us to the source of the problem. I just thought you (and anyone else that has read this thread) might want to know how we got over the finish line. Hi, Just a quick note to let you know that the printer is now connected and working perfectly.
